Today I ve faced this error in my production instance and it s effected to the ICM. For that i m unable to running requests due to the concurrent managers are not running.
I ve tried to start the concurrent manager the following error was seen in ICM log file:
Routine AFPGCP cannot create a process ID for your concurrent manager process ORACLE error 8004 in FDUUID
Cause:
FDUUID failed due to ORA-08004: sequence FND_CONCURRENT_PROCESSES_S.NEXTVAL exceeds MAXVALUE and cannot be instantiated.
Solution:
1. Connect to SQLPLUS as APPLSYS user, then run the following statement:
SQL> select FND_CONCURRENT_PROCESSES_S.nextval from dual;
It should error out as the sequence reached its maximum value set.
SQL> select * from dba_sequences
where sequence_name = 'FND_CONCURRENT_PROCESSES_S'
SQL> ALTER SEQUENCE fnd_concurrent_processes_s MAXVALUE 99999999;
sequence altered
Note : Put a MAXVALUE more than your previous MAXVALUE
2. Restart the concurrent mangers.
3. Verify the managers now start and the error is no longer seen in the ICM log file.
