Step By Step Oracle Apps R12 (R12.1.1) Installation on Windows Server 2008

Prerequisites:

Software:

            1. Microsoft Windows Server 2008

            2. Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 or Full Pack Redistributable Package (x86)

            3. MKS Toolkit - Versions 9.0 (Patch 3 or higher)

            4. GNU Make (Shareware) - Version 3.81

            5. R12 (R12.1.1) Installation Software

Hardware:

            1. Hard Disk Space 275

            2. RAM Size 4GB

Overview of Installation:

1. Microsoft Windows Server 2008

Step 1: Install the Microsoft Windows Server 2008

Step 2: Once Operating System is installed successfully need to change DNS entries or Active Directories

 .Here we can change the Computer Name and Domain Name 

                  Windows: Start -> My Computer (Right Click) ->Properties

Screen1 :Click the Change Settings



Screen 2:Click the change Buttoon


Screen 3: Change the Computer Name to erp


Screen 4:Change the DNS suffix of this computer (oracle.com)


Screen 5:Restart the Server for apply the changes


Step 3: Add the loopback Adapter for the Internel Net work Connection

Screen 1: Go to The Controlpanel ->Select the Add HardWare



Screen 2:Click Next




Screen 3:Select the Button Install the Hardware that I manually select from a list


Screen 4:Select Network Connections


Screen 5:Select Micorosoft – Adloopback network option



Screen 6: Select Next Option and it s installing the hardware




Screen 7: Come to the Network sharing center




Screen 8:Click the Local Area Connection. And select the Propeties


Screen 9: Select the Interet Protocol Version


Screen 10: Assign the  one IP Address



Screen11: ping the assign ip adderess in cmd prompt (erp.oracle.com and 192.168.0.1) It should be ping.
